Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Wutday (“Wutday,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use wutday.co (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. If you create a plan, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are handled securely by our authentication provider; we never see them in plain text.
• Plan information. The plans you create — titles, candidate dates, times, locations, notes, and any cover photos you upload.
• Participant information. Names, and optionally photos, of people invited to a plan; the availability responses (“votes”) people submit; and, if a participant opts in to reminders, the email address or phone number they provide.
• Usage information. Basic technical data your browser sends (such as IP address and device/browser type) and small amounts of data stored locally in your browser (see Cookies & local storage).

2. How we use information

• To operate the Service: create and display plans, collect responses, determine the best day, and generate shareable link previews.
• To send messages you or your participants asked for: plan updates, confirmations, and reminders.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Cookies & local storage

The Service stores small amounts of data in your browser (local storage) to keep you signed in and remember plans on your device. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

4. How we share information

• With people you share a plan with. Plans are accessible to anyone who has the plan’s link. Don’t put anything in a plan you wouldn’t want those people to see.
• With service providers who help us run the Service, including Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Netlify (hosting), and Resend (email delivery). They process data on our behalf.
• For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Wutday, our users, or others.

5. Photos and content you upload

Cover photos and participant photos you upload are stored and may be displayed publicly as part of the plan and its link preview. Only upload images you have the right to use, and don’t upload photos of other people without their permission.

6. Data retention

We keep plan and account data for as long as your account or plan is active, or as needed to provide the Service. You can ask us to delete your account or a plan (see Your choices and rights).

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at hello@wutday.co. Providing a reminder email or phone number is always optional.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

We may process and store information in the United States or other countries. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to locations that may have different data-protection laws than your own.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures, including access controls and encryption in transit, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (the “CCPA/CPRA”), gives you certain rights regarding your personal information:

• the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
• the right to request deletion of your personal information;
• the right to correct inaccurate personal information; and
• the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@wutday.co; we will verify your request using the email address associated with your account or plan.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
